Get to know me
my story
I grew up in Collingwood. I have a degree from the University of Western Ontario and worked at Loblaw Companies Ltd for over 10 years. In 2005, I stepped away from that job to focus on my growing family.
I have a big, beautiful family. My husband, Malcolm, and I have been married for over 20 years and we are the proud parents of 3 boys and one dog. They are, without a doubt, my greatest achievement.
We moved to Oakville in 1999. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. It’s beautiful, it’s only 30 minutes to Toronto, it has fantastic schools, and it’s ranked as one of the top places to live in Canada.
My family thrives here and yours will too.
how i found real estate
I’ve had a keen interest in real estate for many years. I had a cousin in Calgary who was investing in property and I found her success to be motivating and super fascinating. So, at 27 years old, my husband and I purchased our first home in Toronto. It was a complete disaster.
From the purchasing experience, to the tenants (human, and not so human), to the structural issues, it was the definition of a money pit. But you learn a lot from failure and I used that experience to educate myself on how to succeed in real estate.
Since then, I’ve bought, renovated, and sold several homes.

I learned the importance of matching the right home with the right family, the ins and outs of inspections and negotiations, and how to grow a home’s value the right way.
In 2020, I got my real estate licence.
Looking back on that first experience, I know that’s why I became a real estate agent.
I wish that someone had taken the time to understand our needs and educate us. I wish I had known more about the market, the home inspection process, and my mortgage options.
This is what I do for my clients today.
Yes, I help people buy and sell homes. But more importantly, I put myself in their shoes and use my expertise and life lessons to help them understand the process and make the right decisions.
what i do for fun
I am a lacrosse superfan. All of my boys have played high level lacrosse in Canada and the US. It’s a lot of fun and it fosters a great community of families to hang out with rain or shine (or snow).
I’m an avid gardener and baker. The photo you see in this bio was taken in my front yard and the blur behind me is my hydrangea bush in full bloom! I did all of the landscaping myself.
I love to ski and snowshoe during the winter. My two older boys are ski instructors and the third is well on his way. I used to race them down the hill all the time when they were younger but now they can all kick my butt.
